Acceptance

Ghalti apni bhi hai- ab maan bhi lo,
Thi mohabbat- ab jaan bhi lo...

Gham uske jaane ka nahin hai tumko,
Aks apna pehchaan bhi lo...

Jo yaaden zabaran basi rahi barson dil mein,
Poochho unse, kya zaroori hai ke ab jaan bhi lo?

vik: waah!

satyaanveshi: thanks!

Not sure it came out quite okay though. Might have been a bit ambiguous.

"Ab jaan bhi lo" was about acceptance- "now do know/recognize it".

In the second couplet, the quip was: is the gham really for "uske jaane ka" or for the parting from "aks apna", since the "aks apna" was what one saw in another.

'Ab jaan bhi lo' was obvious. I was just playing with the words :)

vik: yes, i guessed you were playing on the words :-) but the second couplet didn't look clear in writing...it sounded nice when saying it. I guess there is something to be said for shairi read out loud in front of live audiences, the way it was in traditional mushairas -the meanings would come across better...
