Jigar says:
Jis qadar afsaana-e-hasti ko dohrataa hoon main,
aur bhi begaana-e-hasti hua jaataa hoon main.
The more I repeat life everyday,
The further away from life I stray.

...and I'll let that stand here on its own, to be pondered upon. It's another couplet of the ghazal I just translated.

Nice to read the Shahanshah-e-Mutaghazlin Jigar Muradabadi Marhoom. These days few people rememer him that much though I was listening to his cassette a week ago. Also, it was heartening to see the Bab-e-Jigar, the Jigar gate in Moradabd on television.
